I can’t believe the press going around about Crash being such an awful choice for Best Picture. I have not yet seen Brokeback Mountain, but I plan to. I can’t make a competent comparison at the moment having only seen the winner of the two. But if you are one wallowing in the terrible decision [...]

I can’t tell you how happy I am… I have not yet seen all of the nominees, so maybe I’ll change my mind about this later, but as of now, the honor of the Best Picture Oscar was totally deserved. Crash is a phenomenal movie which deals with complex issues in a way which causes [...]

I’ve been less than thrilled so far with the Oscars. John Stewart seemed nervous and flat, and even though he wasn’t over-the-top political, I thought he went further than he should have. Loved what Clooney had to say, though. Parton’s song was just interesting. Spielberg didn’t look too happy about it while he was clapping.

Just got booked on another small cable show… hopefully this won’t be like last year, where I booked a small cable show early on, and then that was my only paying acting gig (I don’t count five bucks a performance for plays… which doesn’t even cover gas but is nice to get something at the [...]

A project I was once involved with launched. We parted ways for a number of reasons, but I’m excited to see what these guys have produced. The plan is to make 36 short films based on parables. These guys are friends and excellent filmmakers, so I suggest you check out 36 Parables. And if you’re [...]

Evan Almighty? I think Steve Carell is hilarious, but I’m a little hesitant about the script idea for the Bruce Almighty sequel. God, played by Morgan Freeman, tells Evan Baxter (newsman from the first movie) to build a flood-proof ark. Should provide some laughs, and I’m glad to see Tom Shadyac is directing. If anyone [...]

Okay, BIG disclaimer. If you are easily offended, do not watch this video. It contains some profanity (no f-bombs, if that makes a difference for you), and I post it because it shows how a lot of people think. And it’s really, really funny, although I think flawed for the purpose the director obviously meant [...]

So I’m still playing with Google Video, and although I’m still very annoyed by their neglect of Mac (I think the thing that bothers me worst is that you can’t search for videos that only play on Mac… I found ONE movie that I can purchase out of everything on Google Video thus far for [...]

There’s been a lot of talk about how Google is dropping the ball with Google Video in major ways. They failed to properly promote their most popular TV shows, and even if they had, a LARGE segment of the market could not have purchased them any way. I’m a big far of the iTunes Music [...]

Saw it last night. It’s pretty good. Feels a little bit like a documentary at times, but a good documentary. I wish I would’ve found out more about Murrow’s life after McCarthy. Not far after, but it ended before all of the McCarthy stuff was really over. I had to get on the internet to [...]
