Speaking of the Samaritans, she had some very interesting things to say about the Israelites from the North. Notably, few theologians seem to know very much about Samaritans. The subject fascinates her, so she has read about 100 books about them. Rita believes John’s gospel was written for the Samaritans. She didn’t go into detail, but evidently there are numerous clues which match up with what the Samaritans of the day believed. And we do know from church history there was heavy evangelistic work done with the Samaritans…
