I think once she crossed the line from trying to support her family to drug <i>producer</i>, Nancy Botwin has become less the struggling individual who tragically lost her husband to someone capitalizing on the addictions of others. Not that all pot-smokers are addicts, and from what I've read it's actually not technically physically addictive like other substances, but she's definitely getting into the uglier side of drug-trafficking. I suspect the mega-church story line in the next season is going to provide much food-for-thought in relation to situational ethics. I do think she is becoming less of a sympathetic character. I'm finding thought--and I wonder if you would agree--that the Nancy Botwin character is becoming a little less sympathetic for me as time goes on.
