My xml-rpc client was not working, so this should’ve been posted last Monday when I arrived in Vegas for a few days away from L.A. (I’ll add to the comments later and tell you more about my trip):
First impressions of Bally’s Las Vegas Hotel and Casino…
Parking is terrible. I drove to self-park, following their signs, and I ended up in the Paris casino next door. I gave up on self-parking and did valet, which is really what you should be doing in Vegas.
The valet was really nice. I never know whether to tip both coming and going, so I usually just do it going. Is that wrong? Really, I’m asking. I don’t know the protocol. That’s part of the reason I avoid valet. Some would call it “cheap.” Some would.
Check-in was smooth, and the employee was very helpful. He tried to get me to upgrade, but since I’m using comps and the whole point was to get out of town cheap for a few days, I decided to stick with the standard “deluxe” room.
Which rocks! I’ve got a king size bed, a couch (more of a love seat really, but it’s cool), a fake marble desk which I’m typing on right now, and ample space all around.
And someone just told me the pool is open until 10, which is a major plus, because most of the casinos kick you out early so you go spend your money in the casino. I’ll be spending most of my time around the jacuzzi
Any way, if you’re ever headed to Vegas, so far so good on Bally’s Hotel and Casino. I’ll post more in the comments as I have better reviews…
