A Different Perspective

It looks like I’m headed to the Bahamas in October. I wasn’t sure if I was going to make it this year to Soularize, but the pieces are falling together. I’ve been working with Spencer Burke getting some off-the-hook web stuff ready for the conference. It’s not necessarily revolutionary as far as the entire web is concerned, but attaching these internet features to a conference… months prior… well, its just freaking cool.

I don’t want to talk about it too much until we launch at least a couple of the subsites, but I think you’ll be impressed. One really cool things is that even if you can’t make the physical event, you will be able to heavily participate in this year’s Soularize starting very, very soon.

And if all goes well this summer, you’ll also get to see at least three short films I’m working on producing (and directing one or two) within the next two and a half months. I’m planning on being a sponsor at Soularize this year, and it very well could be the time I officially release a project which actually began with inspiration at Soularize ’02 in Minneapolis.

Any way, if you have been to past Soularizes, you don’t want to miss this one! If you’ve never been to a Soularize, then this would be a great one to start. I don’t usually push… well, anything really… but I really believe this will be an awesome time to connect with others in the emerging church and be encouraged by what God is doing in the Church around the world.
