I’m sure you’ve been spammed or otherwise seen advertisements for free credit reports. The site I linked to above is a site set up when it became law that citizens have a right to view their credit reports without cost. You can do it once annually for free.
For nominal fees, you can also do things like view your credit score, but if you just want to see what is or is not on your report, it is completely free.
You may be surprised by what is on your report. I had a couple shockers, and I disputed them. It’s free, and it’s nice to know what potential lenders see when they view your credit report.
