On the way to the church picnic, some Christians may not be sidestepping one of the seven deadly sins: gluttony.

A new study surmises that among Christians in the U.S. — particularly Baptists, Pentecostals and Catholics — there is a significant relationship between being religious and being obese.”

I’m sure glad “good” Christians don’t drink alcohol. :D

Well, while I’m not directly familiar with this as pertains to some of the groups, growing up as a Southern Baptist the association food with pretty much any “fellowship” activity was pretty strong. And I’ve always found it really noticable the extent to which overeating is very much the acceptable vice amoung a group of people who are quick to issue such strong condemn any drinking of alcohol.
