Life on the Rocks – We’re off to see the Wizard…
Lost has me hooked. The article I link to above, mucho good stuff about where the show might be going. But might be is the right way to say it, as J.J. and company is doing a phenomenal job of throwing people off the real track… whatever it may be.
Henry Gale is the name the suspected “Other” gives to Sayid. Is this relevant? A red herring to throw us off?
Henry Gale is the name of Dorothy’s uncle in the Wizard of Oz. That’s right, it was Dorothy Gale. I sure didn’t remember either of those two facts.
Of course, it gets more interesting in that Henry Gale claims to have landed on the island via baloon… the same method the Wizard/Professor Marvel used to get to Oz. Hmmmm… Most have concluded he’s definitely an Other, and I tend to agree. Especially that look at the end. He definitely was not who he said he was. The question is now, what will Henry Gale be able to accomplish as a captive in the camp?
Update: Henry Gale is not Henry Gale! I posted some theories about who Henry Gale, rather the man who claimed to be Henry Gale, is (I think J.J. might throw us another twist, and he won’t end up being an “Other”).

Henry Gale was also an astrophysicist in Chicago. He wrote a book about Homer for children:

Check out another Henry Gale… an astrophysist who wrote papers on kinetics and thermodynamics. Served in WWI and was decorated. Hmmmm?

I think he will try to turn the surviors agaisnt each other, as at the end of materinty leave he made lock angry by making him think that jack was in complete control and he was only ‘a shadow’!

Unfortunately folks Kates step dad though a soldier was not played by Clancy Brown or or am I getting the wrong end of the stick do you mean the driver or one of the other soldiers. Henry Gale Oz stuff is cool though and who is the best bet to be a friend of dorothy.

Just another twist. Henry Gale was a physicist that taught at the University of Chicago in the late 1800′s, early 1900′s.
