Is Your Printer Spying On You?

Monday, July 25th, 2005

With the Patriot Act coming up for renewal, I’ve been obsessing a little bit about personal liberties. I’m kind of ticked off, because I know in my gut the recent London bombings are going to be enough fuel to the fire to get the Patriot Act renewed (14 of 16 provisions permanently, and the other [...]

A Lifestyle of War

Monday, July 18th, 2005

A recent comment caused me to think more about why I am a pacifist. One part of the comment was that “it is the christians responibility to stand up and yes even fight for it, even if it is not popular.” The words “even fight for it” especially stick out.

That being said, I think John is using a very strict definition of the word movement. For example, he writes:
in a movement, everyone needs [...]

The Emerging Church, Part One | PBS

Monday, July 11th, 2005

Watch the PBS spot on “The Emerging Church.”
It’s not too surprising that “Emergent” over “Emerging” in general seems to be emphasized, and in my opinion confused with the greater movement as a whole.
We on the fringe should not expect to get much press or attention. Maybe that’s a good thing.

A felony this man is charged with no less…
Amazing that the man not smart enough to encrypt his wireless network thinks the solution is to call the cops on a guy sitting in his car with his laptop open.
If this guy gets convicted, it will be a sad, sad day. Many people purposefully leave their [...]

Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride

Thursday, July 7th, 2005

Check out the trailer for Tim Burton’s Corpse Bride!
For me, Tim Burton is hit or miss. This one, however, looks terribly interesting to me. Corpse Bride is bound to deliver some morbid comedy and interesting commentary on what exactly makes a quality relationship…
