I can’t emphasize enough how awful this movie was. I felt violated. I’ve never asked for my money back at a movie theater, but I was close this time.
And just for the record, it’s not the unChristian things that disturbed me. The story was awful, it was trite, and the symbolism sucked.
I am boggled by those who are calling this film brilliant and a masterpiece… it sucks.
Sin city was kick ass especially the part when that bitch gets slapped around and then that nigger gets a sword through the head. Fuck yea when that guy blows his brains out in the end…Fuck yea!!!

Thanks for saying so – I have friends that I know will be recommending it, so it’s good to hear the other side.
On that note, we watched Closer (Natalie Portman, Jude Law, Julia Roberts) yesterday. Awful, disgusting movie. I think it says something that some people find meaningful, but it’s one of those “Don’t feel bad about how screwed up you are” movies. And it was probably the most sexually obscene film I’ve ever had to sit through. I’m not opposed to rated R movies, but this was really gratuitous. </unsolicited review>

I wish I hadn’t seen it.

What a waste of money. On my limited budget I wish I’d chosen more carefully… but the guys I was with really wanted to see that one. They hated it, too.
