They did it again.
Fox Television canceled a great show without giving it a chance. Point Pleasant had a small, loyal following that would have grown, though it probably never would’ve been a smash hit like such quality programming as the O.C. (please read searing sarcasm).
The only good thing about this is that Fox is finally going to air Tru Calling season 2. Six episodes were shot and never aired. Of course, this show will be done after those six episodes air.
I’m done with Fox after I watch the last six eps of Tru Calling.
UPDATE: If you buy the Point Pleasant DVD, you can view the 5 unaired episodes!

Arrgghh… Gutted. Was getting the episode sent over from the states by my cousin. Now I’ve got to wait for Ch4 UK to catch up.
I have heard that T4 (Channel 4 UK’s weekend series) will be screening the full 13 episodes.
Any in the UK will be able to catch the ending (left wide open for season 2, pointless if you ask me), those in the US will have to wait for a possible DVD release, OR, if T4 pull their fingers out, it might be possible to see streaming video from their website channel4.com/t4

Point Pleasant was seriously a great show. I never watch TV, yet I watched that show religiously! I even stopped going out Thursday nights to watch it! Bring it back!!!!

I’m a Tru Calling fan, actually. So it’s bittersweet. Point Pleasant was getting canceled no matter what, at least I get to watch the last few episodes of Tru Calling!

I can’t believe that they cancelled the show and I don’t understand why they did it! It had really great messages, and the show really made you think and reflect. It taught you to challenge things with your mind. I loved the suspense and the acting was great. It hooked me in and now I’ll never know what happened. If it weren’t for the OC I wouldn’t ever watch fox again. I can’t believe this!

I never saw point pleasant, but there is some hope for Fox. 24 might just be the best show on TV today. The “solve a crime in an hour” shows on CBS are so lame now when you have a story that progresses over 24 episodes. Sure it could be more realistic, but at least it’s exciting to watch.

grr. darn fox. man i really liked point pleasant. i skipped all of my other shows for it. stupid. they should bring it back. i find it lame that they cancel the show when there were many viewers esp when they didnt even finish a season of it. seriously. if theyre gonna cancel it at least finish the second season. how lame.

It never made it out of the first season. Nine episodes were aired, I think, with a few more released on the DVD.

Man, they just aired the first 2 eps here in australia on fox8. I’m hooked already. Huge bummer to hear that there’s no second season. That’s a bit $hit.

I’m quite late, but I m living in Japan, and I just start looking this amazing show. I could find all the episode available, and now I just finished looking the 9th episode. And what? I was searching for season 2 update, and found that it probably won’t get any sequel??? I was quite shocked, and it gets me mad… I know Fox is after money but I think this series have a lot of fan. The DVDs were just released in Japan (very late as always) and each time I go to rent a DVD I can hardly find the episode I want because it is already rent by someone else.
Please Fox can’t you do something? At least a Final episode of 1h30 trying to give us a pseudo end. Of course I prefer have a real 2sd season but it can’t finish like this… Have a minimum of respect for the auditor, please.

I’m from Australia also and started watching it regularly. I missed the first episode but I’ve been hooked. I’ve been searching for Season 2 online and have to come to find the awful truth that there is no season 2
I don’t believe that they will just end it like this. I mean it’s a great ending for a season finale but the fans out there need closure.

you know what no matter what we say or do fox is after money unless someone sends them a shit load of cash point pleasant is not going to get a season 2 it really sucks i really wish it did have a season 2
