A Different Perspective

Faith, Art, Politics, and the Emerging Church

a different perspective from alan hartung on the emerging church, politics, faith, and life

I have such mixed emotions about P2P networks. I personally don’t download movies, but when I miss a TV show, I do sometimes download those to catch up on the episode I missed. Tonight, I didn’t tape Point Pleasant because I thought I’d just download it later. When I got home, lokitorrent had been shut down by court order.

I do think it’s wrong to download full movies ripped from DVD, and I understand why lokitorrent was shut down. But now I won’t be able to easily catch up with a TV series when I miss an episode.

I am very much into storyline, so at least for me, the tv networks stand to lose a viewer who will watch on regular broadcast when he’s home. I won’t watch a show I’m really into if I miss an episode (sit-coms aren’t as important, but almost all dramas build with each episode).

So did anybody tape point pleasant? Or have a link to the torrent feed to Fox doesn’t lose a viewer? :D
