How can a movie start out so terrible, yet have a good ending?
Little Black Book had so much potential in its general premise to be a really good romantic comedy. But it wasn’t until the last twenty to thirty minutes that things really got going and intrigued me. Granted, all of that ending stuff had to be set-up, but it wasn’t as much the set-up as the execution of the scenes by the director and actors that pushed the end of the movie. In fact, I think the ending would’ve been even more powerful had the set-up been better, but just my opinion.
If you enjoy Brittainy Murphy, this one is probably worth the rental. If you’re not, then the end probably isn’t worth the first hour you have to go through to get to it.
