The Crucible of Life by Edgar A. Guest

Thursday, January 13th, 2005

Picked this up off of classicreader.com: Sunshine and shadow, blue sky and gray, Laughter and tears as we tread on our way; Hearts that are heavy, then hearts that are light, Eyes that are misty and eyes that are bright; Losses and gains in the heat of the strife, Each in proportion to round out [...]

Physical Worship

Wednesday, January 12th, 2005

I confess, I recently went to a church service. It doesn’t happen very often (did I go to one in 2004?). At first, I was excited because part of the reason I wanted to go was to particpate in the eucharist, and I saw a table with the elements. Another blog sparked this post, by [...]

Making a film at Soularize

Wednesday, January 12th, 2005

One of the components of Soularize this year in Venice Beach will be going out into the community and learning by doing… something. We’re looking for a wide variety of activities people can particpate in. Because I’m an actor and a filmmaker, Spencer mentioned to me maybe getting people together to actually make a short [...]

I recently heard Adam Curry on his podcast question why he would get rid of his drum cadences, if you don’t like ‘em, you can just forward past them! So keep that in mind. Jumping ahead is a normal part of [...]

So maybe you’ve been hearing this term “podcast” that’s been floating around the past few months. I recently began podcasting, and it is not a difficult technology at all. In fact, you can listen to the podcast just by clicking the links to the mp3 files on the blog. But you can also use news [...]

Email a friend

Saturday, January 8th, 2005

I just added an “Email this page to a friend” link to the blog template. So if you want to quickly pass along a post, a category, the main page, or whatever, you can do so by clicking the link above the calendar in the right-hand column. The script automatically recognizes the URL, so if [...]

Whether this is legal or not, it is certainly not ethical. How will the president respond? People make mistakes, I understand that. Will this be recognized as a flagrant abuse of power, or will it be swept under the table and defended (as early indications show will be White House policy)? The fact that Armstrong [...]
