A Different Perspective

Faith, Art, Politics, and the Emerging Church

about the podcast/blog

a different perspective from alan hartung on the emerging church, politics, faith, and life

Excellent.

All of my blog posts are now available directly through this blog. I was able to transfer from Nucleus (a royal pain in the arse, but it finally worked) to b2evolution. A couple days ago, I transferred my very old blogger posts into b2evolution.

I did lose comments from Nucleus, but I can deal with that. I apologize to those of you who commented on the old blog. I’ll leave it up for a week or so (it’s at /theblog/ instead of /blog/) if you want to cut and paste your comments into the new blog. I’m assuming no one’s going to take the effort for that, but feel free to do it if you want to.

The only other issue is that I didn’t have categories set in either blogger or nucleus. All the blogger posts went into the faith directory, and all the nucleus posts went into the life directory. I have not the energy to reclassify them at this time. Some day, maybe…

I’m very happy with b2evolution, so I don’t see myself switching for a long time, if ever. I’m stoked.

    so here’s a question from a computer semi-literate person –

once you take a blog down is it gone forever, or can it still be accessed somehow?

  2. It’s not as simple a question as it seems. The basic answer is, once it’s taken off the server, it can no longer be accessed.

I know of at least one site which archives pages of other sites, so it may be accessible through something like that.

The only thing lost from my migration to another blog software program will be the comments. I’m a little bummed about that, but b2evolution is so much better than nucleus, in my opinion, that it was worth the pain to transfer it.
