Someone’s stealing my idea! Okay, not really an original idea, but my prediction that “critical mass” has been hit for internet streaming of television is looking more and more like a reality. Hopefully the early success of ManiaTV (moderate, though it is) and interest from others will be the final push to get my show, The Journeyman (website coming soon!), up and running. We just need a measely quarter of a million dollars to shoot the first 16-episode season.
In case you are new to the blog and haven’t read through my old blog (some of the posts are below), I wrote a pilot for an “emerging church television show.” I am actually not a big fan of the “emerging church” label, but that is the phrase that sparked my imagination.
I began thinking of all the drama I have experienced in ministry and as a layperson, and I realized the church is an excellent setting for a drama. So, I set out to write the pilot episode for a series that one director has called, “West Wing for the Church” and others “Tru Calling meets a dark 7th Heaven” (by others I mean me and whoever has picked up on the tagline).
